Largo Resort Wedding: The Dempsey’s
The Largo Resort is a popular destination wedding venue for Florida Keys weddings this year, and when you see this wedding venue it will be clear why. This 3.5 acre Key Largo property is tropical, lush, and offers unparalleled privacy. With options for all inclusive wedding packages, on-site lodging for family and friends, and breathtaking ocean views, this Key Largo wedding venue is sure to give you a weekend you and your guests won’t forget!
We had the privilege of capturing Shelby and Seth’s Key Largo Resort wedding. Shelby and Seth are wedding venue owners themselves, so they know the importance of picking a venue that checks all of the boxes. For their Keys wedding weekend, they opted to have some of their closest family and friends stay at the Largo Resort, which boasts 6 bungalow villas, an Airstream, and the grand lodge, which most brides and grooms stay at and use as the bridal suite. All in all, this Key Largo venue houses 35 guests, but has wedding day capacity for hundreds.
Another perk that drew the couple to the Largo Resort in Key Largo is the ability to host a weekend of wedding events on site. The couple hosted their wedding rehearsal dinner the night before their wedding under the Tiki Hut on the property’s private beach. The Tiki Hut has room for up to 40 guests seated at a long family style table, perfect for wedding rehearsal dinners. The day after the wedding, Shelby and Seth were able to hang out poolside with their family and friends who were staying at the Largo Resort.

Largo Resort Wedding Photos
From a photography perspective, the Largo Resort wedding venue is nothing short of picture perfect. While the Largo Resort feels intimate, there is a wide variety of options for capturing your wedding party, family, and couples portraits. Some of our favorite locations for portraits were the palm tree lined entryway, the infinity pool, the 200 foot beach front, and the pier. At sunset you’re bound to get that golden light Key Largo is known for as the sun sets over the water shining down on the outdoor wedding reception space.
Largo Resort Wedding Ceremony Photos
The Dempsey’s had their ceremony by the pool at the Largo Resort, however many couples opt to have their ceremonies on the Sunset Pier, which is the dock that extends from the back of the Largo Resort’s beach out into Tarpon Bay. One of the things I love about this wedding venue is that there are multiple options for ceremony spaces!

The Dempsey’s played into the tropical theme with their wedding reception decor. The guests loved having dinner with their toes in the sand. The Sunset Pier is also located right next to the Largo Resort’s outdoor reception space, and guests really enjoyed being able to take a walk on the pier at sunset!

As I mentioned above, the Dempsey’s held their intimate rehearsal dinner at the Largo Resort. It was the perfect opportunity to scope out the venue for photography the next day, and it also gave their guests more time to enjoy the beauty of this Largo Resort wedding!
